Pretty Housewife

I was feeling very feminine and housewifey yesterday.

Mike was out golfing most of the day so I had the house to myself.

I cleaned, did laundry, organized, ordered gifts online, did up the grocery/dinner list (it's an Excel spreadsheet...I'm a freak), went grocery shopping, and got dinner ready.

Those of you who know Mike know that this rarely gets to happen for me.

So I celebrated with a pretty, feminine outfit.

The Perfect Outfit for an Awkward Event

I wore this outfit to an event I agreed to go to for work.

I'm not going to say what it was, but let's just say it was awkward.

And alcohol and E helped.

I decided, since this is Ridgecrest after all, I shouldn't dress too fancy.

But I also needed to represent my work nicely.

So this is what I came up with.
There was a guy there wearing overalls non-ironically so I probably shouldn't have worried about my outfit at all.

My 80's Moment

I felt very 80's at work yesterday.

Shoulder pads, teal and gold post earrings, bright red obnoxious blazer.

Check, check, and double check.

If shoulder pads are wrong, I don't ever want to be right again.

The point of this picture was to show my ring, but I'm apparently too awkward to pull it off.

This picture is terrifying, but I wanted to show my cute earrings.

I Look Like Butt Part Deux

While putting on this outfit yesterday, I somehow got the hook on the top of the dress stuck in a hook from my bra.

It took a good five minutes of twisting and contorting to get that mess handled.

Just another graceful moment in my everyday life.

Also, I look like butt in these pictures too.

Tomorrow's are better, I promise.

This is my all time favorite shirt.

I wear it way too much.

But when you wake up hungover and have to spend the day at the mall, you just reach for your favie, your old faithful that you know will look good with everything. 

Which is exactly what I did on Sunday.

I feel like the shirt is just cute enough to distract from my hangover face.

Happy Little Saturday Outfit

I have nothing clever to say about this outfit.

Except I wore leggings that day until about 4:00, then I got drunk off a margarita, put together this tasty mustard ensemble, watched some tv, had a squirmy pug break this necklace, then got drunker at the bowling alley.

It was a pretty good little Saturday.

Make It Work

This outfit took a little bit of work to end up looking the way it did.

First of all, this is not at all how the dress should fit.

If you haven’t noticed, I’m a midget.

And the waist of this dress is made for a normal height person.

So to make it work on me, I have to pull it up, twist the belt around the front and then tie it in the back.

This necklace is also supposed to be a pin, but I accidentally snapped the fastener off the back.

So I shoved a safety pin through it and looped a chain through the pin to make it a necklace.

I’m also wearing a jacket today that’s missing its middle button so I just tie the belt tight and no one notices.

You do what you have to to make it work when you’re cheap and live in a town without a mall.
