Three

There are three things really really bothering me right now, but I can't talk about them on here because I'm the dummy who tells people in my real life about my blog. And I'm not that big of a douche that I would still blog about it. I mean, I'm a douche, but not that douchey, you know?

So, instead of bitching about those three annoying things, I'm going to talk about three random things I like. Make sense?

space saving table in various colors for small balcony decorating

This cool space saving balcony thingy found here. This is perfect for city living folk like us. Now if only we could actually open our sliding doors and use this instead of leaving them shut to drown out the the douchebags at the pool.

Orange is the New Black is back!  Good thing I just bought Mike a video game he's obsessed with because I'm going to be spending a lot of time holed up in bed watching this.

Corgi photos on Reddit or anywhere really. Corgi photos make everything better.

That's all I got.

Man Tears

Sometimes, when watching The Bachelorette, I get jealous that all these attractive guys are falling in love with one woman and I think to myself, "Why the hell aren't multiple guys with abs like that falling in love with me?"

And then they start crying like little babies after week two and I think, "Oh, okay, I'm good."

Also, I'm not marrying a guy who is willing to wear this on national tv:

The end.

What You'd Hear

"I'm just going to go out there and take a dump in the hot tub in front of everyone. That'll show 'em."

This is something you would overhear my husband and I saying if you were in our apartment right now in response to the giant douche bag soup in our apartment's hot tub playing club music all day.

I won't tell you which one of us actually said that.

(We are old and fussy)

Hey There

Hey yeah so I'm alive. I am rarely on the computer for fun any more because I'm busy or laying on the couch snuggling a pug. Which is sad because I miss blogging, but also good because too much internet is not good for sensitive weirdos like me.

But yeah hey! I'm still here.

Here's what we've been up to lately with photos.

This is a lazy blog post.

Ready go.

We had our first cocktail party in Denver and I came home that day to find Mike had made these super cute cocktail menus and bought very blogger-worthy straws. He's the cutest.

I work from home a lot on the weekends and sometimes Tuffy supervises. He doesn't suffer laziness.

He lives a hard life, this pug.

My mom came to visit! We had a fancy birthday tea at the Brown Palace and it was deeeelish.

Hey handsome.

When Mike and I honeymooned in London, the royal couple had just been married so I got my sister an embarrassing royal wedding mug. To carry on tradition, on her recent trip to London, she came back with this equally embarrassing royal baby mug. Love it.

We are super sick of the rain, so when it's sunny out, we go hiking as much as possible. Look how dang beautiful it is here!

Is there anything better than post-hike homemade icecream at the General Store?

Finally breaking in our Boulder Passport. First, at Fate (where I got my first sunburn of the Spring/Summer, youch).

Then at Finkel & Garf where we got to pet the world's friendliest dog.

We should try new places, we really should, but we can't quit you Mercantile.

When the weather is nice, Mike plans things for us to do after work on week days like walking to far away breweries or taking the dogs to the park. We're so excited to have found this gorgeous park near our house.

So that's what we've been up to lately, drinking, walking, hiking, snuggling pugs, working, whining when it rains, working out, binge watching Mad Men, and planning trips. Life is pretty good. (But please stop raining)

Want It Wednesday

This Want It Wednesday is kiiind of depressing because I'm trying not to buy any clothes or shoes for the rest of May starting last week after I got some much needed workout gear. We want to take big trips and plan for our future so I probably shouldn't be buying as many things for myself as I do so I'm starting my goal small - one month!

But I can still want things on Wednesdays, so here we go!

Hi-Rise Jegging by AEO
These jeans from American Eagle. I've finally realized that high waisted works best for me (especially right now with my extra pudge cough cough) and these are comfy as crap.

Love.
This necklace set. I need more long necklaces to wear with my casual/simple outfits.

UrbanOutfitters.com > UO Leather Strap Sandal
These sandals. Don't these look like the perfect commuting sandals? Cute, but still comfy.

The Nourish + Glow Miracle Bowl | Oh She Glows | 3 #vegan #recipes in one, and some sweet news! :-)
This bowl for dinner or lunch every day. I mean, how delicious and good for you does this thing look?!

matte black.
This manicure all day every day.

For my mom to come visit. Oh hey, she is in like 3 weeks!

The Manitou Incline near Colorado Springs, Colorado is said to be one of the most challenging and unique trails in the Country. Olympic athletes and military personnel train on this vertical wonder that gains 2,000 feet in elevation over less than 1 mile. >>> This looks very cool!
To walk up this and not die. People RUN that. They RUN it. People are nuts.

To have a cable package that has AMC because hello, last season of Mad Men dammit.

This Sunday Currently

(I know the blogger who created this series doesn't do them anymore, but hey...it's Sunday, so why not)

Currently I am...

Reading: Nothing. Since my crazy commute has ended, I haven't been reading at all which is good because it means I spend most of my time doing fun stuff and not sitting on a train, but bad because I miss reading. I just got Before I Go To Sleep and am really looking forward to reading it so I need to get on that.

Writing: This blog post and that's it. I spend a lot less time on the internet now that I'm happily employed and live somewhere I love.

Listening: To Mike cooking this meal from Blue Apron and to Tuffy barking at the dude bros in the hot tub outside our window (don't get an apartment that faces the pool, don't do it).

Eating:  About to eat another tasty Blue Apron meal (we love Blue Apron) and then our favorite dessert in the warmer months: strawberries, fat free cool whip, and a tiny little angel food cake round. So good, so few calories.

Wishing/Hoping: For the weather not to be as rainy this week as the app says it's going to be, for our new hire who starts tomorrow to work out, for Mike and I to figure out whether we're going to have kids and where we are going to end up living when our lease is up (our lease is up in about a year, I'm psycho and like to plan).

Wearing: Black leggings and a grey long sleeved, off shoulder top from F21 - my go to lounge outfit.

Loving: Denver. My job. Our new lives. How sore my legs are right now. How good our dinner smells while Mike is cooking it. How tasty lunch was. Just, you know, everything right now.

Wanting:  To move into the neighborhood that we walked around today (we walked 7 miles today, my dogs are barking), to lose 10 pounds, to not ever have to buy a second car, to be wearing this tomorrow and to have the small chest to pull it off, to take a vacation here with Mike and the pups, and five more pairs of these pants that I bought on sale at Old Navy today.

Needing: To make time to read my new book, to do my nails and toenails, and to pick an outfit for tomorrow.

Feeling: Full from dinner (I took a break to eat while writing this blog), happy, and sleepy.

Clicking:  Facebook, Amazon to get Mom's day gifts, and Blue Apron to check out our upcoming menus.

And some other things...

We celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary last week with tasty pizza, wine, salad, cupcakes, and Star Wars. Perfect!

Yesterday we went for a long walk around Golden, CO and had lunch and shopping downtown. It was gorgeous and just a dang great day.
